Nome Credits are your universal currency. Every hosted action costs credits. Local and offline work is always free.
House models
We proxy all calls through Nome infrastructure with optimized routing, failover, and caching. A margin is included in credit cost. New models are added instantly.
Bring your own key
Starter+ users can add their own API keys. Inference routes directly with no markup. Orchestration and platform features still consume credits.
Auto-overage
Hit your limit? Paid plans seamlessly continue at $0.0005 per credit. Stripe charges your card instantly. Free users see an upgrade prompt instead.

What are Nome Credits?+
Nome Credits are your universal currency for all hosted services: AI model inference, agent orchestration, vertical queries, and Productivity execution. Every action deducts from your monthly balance. Local and offline work costs zero credits.
What happens when I run out of credits?+
Free users see a hard block with an upgrade prompt. Paid users (Starter/Pro) can enable auto-overage: seamless continuation at $0.0005 per credit, charged to your card on file. You can disable auto-overage from billing settings.
What if I bring my own API keys (BYOM)?+
BYOM is available on Starter and above. You add your Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or other keys in Settings. Inference routes directly through your key with no markup. Orchestration and platform features still consume Nome Credits.
How do house models work?+
Nome proxies all house model calls through our infrastructure with optimized routing, caching, and failover. We add a margin on top of raw provider cost. Free/Starter users get the fastest/cheapest models; Pro users get all models including frontier releases.
Can I switch plans anytime?+
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from the billing dashboard. Changes take effect immediately. Stripe handles proration automatically.
Do offline models cost credits?+
No. Tasks run entirely on-device using local models consume zero credits. This is tracked in your usage dashboard as offline savings.
